Scootaloo was a local orphan child, she didn’t go to school nor live in the orphanage. She gets into a lot of scrapes and tussles with other kids, but Sweetie Belle and Applebloom try and keep her calm. She’s blind in one eye, and both of her wings are crippled due to her malnutrition. However, after Sweetie Belle became friends with her, she’s been living in the mansion ever since, being cared for by the butlers and Rarity.
Sweetie Belle’s very sheltered and shy, but tries to help others with her massive allowance, usually by spoiling them with gifts. Other ponies tend to use her for her money, and Diamond Tiara’s family has a feud with her family so they aren’t allowed to interact.
Applebloom takes after her mother, being very thin and frail, which is only exasperated by her being born much earlier due to her mother having an early labor. She is very kind and tries to do work around the farm sometimes, but usually just ends up making her condition worse. She has asthma due to her lungs being very underdeveloped.
Spike is the adopted little brother of Twilight, having been adopted as a baby shortly after Twi started school. He moves with her to Ponyville because he really doesn’t want to be away from his big sister.
Big Mac is very strong and almost as tall as Celestia, which makes him very good at doing various jobs for the ponies in Ponyville. It’s his special talent after all! He tends to be overly helpful though, putting his own needs behind the needs of others and working himself to exhaustion or even working on injuries. He doesn’t tell Applejack this, but he ended up working for the Canterlot Mafia at one point. One week he had been hired by a pony who wished to remain anonymous to help collect bones to do some sort of necromancy ritual. He not only got paid a lot for that, he was given a lot of candy and balloons.
Shining Armor’s pretty much the same as in the series, but he’s only a year older than Twilight.
Ditzy, or affectionately referred to as Derpy by her sister, got a golden tooth filling. She is a mailmare still, but sometimes helps her sister with her stunt practices still.
