I’m not saying she’s a little girl she’s one of the older ponies of the 6 and canonically confirmed to be older than Pinkie. She’s simply portrayed as being younger by exaggerating her shy and innocent tendencies, which you guess it, are attributed to youth.

I still don’t see the headcanon that “Fluttershy is just a little girl” as logical though for all the reasons I’ve brought up before. I think I see what you’re trying to say now but still it doesn’t quite have to mean Fluttershy has to actually be underage within her universe, younger yeah but not that young - that’s what I was getting at originally.
 
She may not be old enough to have a 15-year-old kid, but still that fits with what I was saying earlier - the show since season 1 has given Fluttershy an equal status among the other mane 6 and they’re all treated like they’re at least young adults. Even Rainbow Dash - the one that many headcanons think is the youngest - has grown a little.
 
My point was all the people who keep making Chris Hanson pedo-alert jokes about her and Discord just make no sense. I’ve actually seen some people get really bent out of shape about that ship too, like actual rants about how its morally wrong to like the ship and we’re all bad people and other such nonsense. And make no mistake - personally I’m into some really messed up things myself, but this? He’s thousands of years old, if he isn’t allowed to have an interest in anyone younger than Celestia that doesn’t seem fair when people ship her with all kinds of characters with less discrimination.
 
Basically so long as it’s reasonable to think she’s of the age of consent, and has mature mind, it shouldn’t be “pedo-ish” for a demigod creature of thousands of years old to have an interest in her. Fluttershy has a shy nature but that doesn’t even have to mean she’s immature, even elderly people can be meek. To call that “immature” is actually kind of mean.

Absolutely, positively false. Adults can have social anxiety as well. It is not objectively required for only a non-adult to be shy. I don’t even see what you’re getting at….
 
And I can still see Pinkie as an adult as well. She’s just…..hyper. To be fair there are, sadly, much less mature people than her who are still adults in the real world.

Well those people are wrong. EQG is its own weird thing. In one universe, they’re students in a highschool, in another, they’ve been teachers to a bunch of highschoolers.
 
There may be an age gap between Discord and Fluttershy, yeah, but the main show, for all intents and purposes, treats her like an adult. The accusation that Discord is a pedo then is just wrong and an annoying meme at this point. A false meme. It’s not even the same as Celestia and Twilight’s dynamic where you could potentially accuse Celestia of grooming Twilight from a very young age into adulthood.
 
Discord met Fluttershy when she was already able to live alone, in a house, living in a town where she could go to the market, mail things at a post office, presumably pay taxes, and who knows she may even technically be self-employed because I can easily see her making money as a trusted local vet though admittedly I don’t remember that being talked about directly.
 
I mean if one thing is certain it’s canon that she’s a year older than Pinkie because of one line given to us like way back in season 3 or something, and Pinkie is easily the most childlike of the whole group but she still has a job and rents a room. So yeah, the mane six are undeniably adults in their world. Twilight could have been on the younger side in season 1 but at this point realistically I’d expect her to be like at least 25 give or take.

There’s some people that think the Mane Six are teens just because the Equestria Girls counterparts are. Never mind that a lot of the ages are changed for that (like the CMC are older and Photo Finish is clearly younger to be in high school).

okay wtf is with people who think Fluttershy is underage…. She’s as much of a functional adult as the other mane six are. The show doesn’t treat her as anything less than an adult.
