Guys I figured it out after a year of debating
 
Diamond Tiara X Spike is finally officially canon and here to stay
 
Info: “High school sweethearts” started spending time together after one Hearts N Hooves day(probably courtesy of the Crusaders) and actually have plenty in common. They goof off often together and Spike was a source of comfort for Tiara whenever she had a fallout with her parents. They married surprisingly quickly.
 
Spike eventually grew more and more eager to learn more about his origins so he one day resolved to take a journey for answers. Diamond insisted on joining and with a lot of begging and puppy eyes, Spike finally hesitantly agreed. Sadly, they ran into quite a bit of trouble and Diamond Tiara wound up getting badly hurt, forcing them to quickly return home. Spike DID end up getting answers though, but that’s a story for another time ;)
 
They’re happily married in Ponyville; Diamond Tiara is a school teacher and Spike still helps Rarity and Princess Twilight often. In spite of not having any foals of their own, they adore spending time around children as much as possible and helping in the Cutie Mark Crusaders Club.
