That’s true, we could be getting no news right now because Hasbro doesnt want to detract from the series finale.
They might make a sudden announcement after FIM ends. I remember princess twilight kinda sprang up on us…though maybe I wasn’t paying enough attention at the time lol.

Yeah, Hasbro has not done a good job at communicating at all. They really seem to over do it with NDAs especially. I get not wanting your super secret pony plans leaked, but this is so extreme it kinda hurts the hype of what is next.
What does he mean? Are they going to continue post S9? Do they have one big project left? Just another miniseries? Announcing they got the license to work on G5?
Too vague to feel excited.

Now my curiosity asks whether that is because this is the plan all along (which I believe it was), or if this is because either the next era is delayed because the G5 pitch failed or G5 is delayed due to business reasons.

It almost sounds like FiM is carrying on, just not as a show.
