Wind Rider was an absent father in Lightning’s life, leaving her alone at home to go on tours or training, she tried to gain his attention by winning all the flying competitions she could.
 
Wind Rider never attended any of the competitions, and he didn’t show much enthusiasm in them.
 
He was proud of his little Dusty, but he had a hard time expressing it because she is too similar to his mother, since his wife died he moved away from Lightning, and tried to avoid her as long as possible.
 
Over the years her little daughter was already an adult, and Wind Rider already feeling old regretted not being there for hide daughter and wanted to fix things with her but, she didn’t want to spend time with him because she was “busy” thing that was a lie.
 
She just didn’t want anything to do with his father anymore, until Wind Rider met her and convinced her to try fix things, everything was excellent between the two, until Dusty told him he had a girlfriend, which is Rainbow Dash .
 
Of all, she had to choose the woman who stealed his fame, angry, and fighting with his daughter about it, he said things, until one of those made her explode, which was.
 
How could you fall in love with the mare that snatched MY fame, and stole your DREAMS.
 
Those words made her explode, and made the fight much bigger than it already was, until Lightning stood firm and clarified that for her, he was nothing significant in her life, she could hear all the opinions of anybody, but his would never mean anything.
 
If you don’t want to move in your life, stay alone and don’t drag me with you.
 
So Wind Rider put on mad and said,  
You won’t be welcome in my house while you’re with that bitch, did you hear?
 
Lightning, bewildered by what his father had just told hem, prepared to open his wings and left to never see him again.
 
WR remained with that mentality many years, and tried as much as possible not to think about his daughter, and rather, he succeeded, until on one of his visits to Cloudsdale he saw his daughter walking next to the mare with hair Multicolored, along with a baby in his arms.
 
That broke his heart instantly, he had a grandson he could never meet.
 
Because of his stubbornness now, he is alone, rather, he was always alone, but he had never realized until now.
 
He’s daughter will probably not forgive him until the day of his death, but he is determined to at least try to apologize, and let him know his grandson. At least… try.
