He has a little control inside the glove he has on his hoof (and uses standard Magical Hoof™ powers to operate it).
I based the system off Virtuality’s VR systems from the early 90’s, which used a handheld controller for hand tracking (very impressive for the time and not that conceptually dissimilar to a modern VR controller) and character movement. I tried to make something that’d be similar but also make sense for a pony to use.
