The final episode was amazing. Every critique I’ve seen so far has been absolute nonsense. And people seriously think AppleDash wasn’t confirmed? Get real. Applejack’s parents would still be alive by that logic. Being too stupid to understand subtext is viewer error and nothing more.

Agreed, last episode really could have been better. I’m also ok with Discord being really Q-like, but at the very least he should be punished for what he did. It makes Equestria seem too dystopic to me rather than a happy land full of friendly ponies.

Scootaloo was intended by Lauren Faust to be a disabled pegasus, and nothing in the show has contradicted that. It’s been clear since Flight to the Finish, and especially The Washouts, because if the latter episode didn’t scream it right to your face, I don’t know what would.

Unicorns aren’t noted to have longer lifespans. If anything there’s more evidence of earth ponies being longer lived.
