Yeah, one of the old Atari systems had the first wireless controller for video games, (which the AVGN showed) but like other old 1980s wireless devices, it had a huge thick antenna on it.
 
Another interesting thing about the Atari is, it actually had Nintendo games on it that were adaptations of Nintendo’s Donkey Kong, DK Junior, Mario Brothers 1983, and Popeye arcade games. These adaptations weren’t made by Nintendo, but they were apparently officially-licensed by them, making them the few official Nintendo games not on a Nintendo system.
 
Apparently, Nintendo even almost made a deal with Atari for them to publish, and distribute the Famicom/NES, and their games in America, but Atari got angry, and refused, because Nintendo licensed Donkey Kong to a competitor’s console too. Probably a big mistake on their part, as the NES became a huge success.  
To think the NES was almost the “Atari Famicom.”
