This is also my opinion on the matter. I ship Fluttercord myself but I saw that scene as ambiguous. And even though I like that ship (and other Fluttershy ships), I’m also perfectly okay with her being single too.

my comment definitely said that the ending was written so that fluttercord shippers (and i am included in this. i’m a HUGE fluttercord shipper) could view it as confirmed if they wanted to. it’s “confirmed” in pretty much everything other than them looking at the screen and verbally saying “we are romantically involved”. but they also avoided doing exactly that so that everyone could be as happy as possible with the ending. i don’t say that in a mean way: it’s probably the best possible way their story could have ended, and people can make what they want out of it. no interpretation is exactly “wrong”, and that’s intentional on the writer’s part
 
also, to be fair, i don’t think that anyone is headcanoning that fluttershy never felt love. you can feel love of all kinds, including romantic, without ever settling down with someone. plus i don’t think fluttershy herself would be all that unhappy with the “crazy cat lady” lifestyle; she’s always drawn joy from taking care of animals, and it’s not like she’s completely alone. she’s surrounded by people that love her, even if fluttercord isn’t “”“canon””” or anything, and the same goes for the rest of the mane 6

I think its fair to say that AppleDash was meant to be “Did they or didn’t” scenario. Discoshy was kind of obvious just after watching Best Gift Ever. Not to mention Make new friends but keep Discord, To Where and Back Again, Discordant Harmony, Dungeons and Discords, Beginning of The End and especially the death blow dealers - She talks to Angel and Last Problem.  
Fluttershy doesn’t have any other male teased love interests and we see her being old. Are people cruel enough to headcanon that she never felt love or had kids and died as an old mare raising bunnies like she’s another Golden Delicous? Not to mention thats also the case for Dash, Aj, Rarity and Twilight with exception of Twilight becoming forever alone and seeing all ponies die around her.

That’s basically what I got from it.

the writers wrote fluttershy and discord’s bits in the series finale so that some people could interpret it as fluttercord being confirmed, and so some people (mostly bronies who are in love with fluttershy, and/or ilovekimpossiblealot) could interpret it as them staying just friends. it reads as an ending that was meant to appease both sides. however, this didn’t work, because 98% of people are arguing over it, which is funny because its a show about magic cartoon horses, and none of its fans have ever heard of nuance

I’m pretty sure about this. The only vocal minority who didn’t accept it are mostly dislestia shippers or Fluttershy waifufans. Its hard to interpret the ending as something other than confirmation, and major part of the fandom is not going to go out of their way to headcanon that Fluttershy remained an old cat lady who never married even though she was hinted in the episode to wanting to marry her close friend. Nobody is going to assume such bad ending just to keep Fluttershy pure, becausne most normal fans beleive in happy endings and isn’t personally attached to a fictional character like she need to be pure for them. Only antishippers in general going to headcanon this and if they want to make fan comic about it, then they are free to do this, but they shoudn’t expect people to not portray Fluttershy and Discord in their time skip stories and comics as romantic.

Discoshy will always be remembered by majority of the fandom as CANON. There is nothing that can change that. Maybe IDW comic clarifying that they remained platonic, but i doubt anyone would assume thats the case when Angel Bunny outed Fluttershy in the canon episodes.

Well, this thing was not tagged as ‘discoshy’ before, I should to hide ‘Implied’ tags too.

I think some of y’all need to filter out the ships you dislike if something as simple as this is such a big problem for you guys. As for images that aren’t properly tagged, just tag them yourself and move on. You don’t even have to comment about anything. That’s what I do when I find pictures of the types of things I don’t like on here (though in my case it’s usually fetish stuff I filter out, not ships). The point I’m trying to make is stressing over this sort of thing ain’t worth it. It’s not healthy.
 
Speaking of tags, I don’t know why OP just removed a ton of useful tags from this image. Seems kinda counterproductive.
