Here’s my entry for Lopoddity’s “Pandoraverse Month of Love” Contest~!
I decided to do one of my favorite pairs from her NG, Cuppa Joe and Princess Iridescence. I adore their dynamic and honestly ship them very hard >83
Also, all the kitties pictured have names! From left to right:
Ristretto (folded ears on the pillow)
Kona (in the cat-house)
Latte (snuggled up against Irie)
Vienna (in Joe’s arms)
Mocha (munchkin tabby)
Eggnog (playing with the yarn, Irie named him)
Au lait (snoozing on top of the fireplace)
Now! The story~!

Canterlot was facing a blizzard, typical fare given how close it was to Hearth’s Warming. The only inconvenience was it’s sudden-ness, having landed when a certain insectoid princess was on her way to visit her favorite barista.
Joe: brewing up some coffee as he ignited his horn, his magic starting up the fireplaceBrrr….the weather ponies don’t mess around, do they?
a rapid knock is heard at the door
Joe: ? walks over, opening the door with some magic assistance
Iridescence: disguised as an aqua-and-white unicorn mare, standing in the doorway with wide-eyes and shivering LET ME IN. NOW.
Joe: has to bite his lip to keep the laughter down, stepping aside and beckoning her inside with his hoof Mi’lady~
Iridescence: rushes in, practically dive-bombing into a pile of pillows and blankets as her disguise dissipates CURSE THIS BLIZZARD! pokes her muzzle out from some blankets, continuing to whine Why did it start so suddenly?! WHERE WAS THE WARNING?!
Joe: shuts the door, looking to the pile of shivering blankets with some amusement before trotting back into the kitchen Actually if you payed attention to the weather report, they warned of sudden blizzards…
Iridescence: Less proving me wrong, more coming over here to snuggle me!! pouting indignantly
Joe: chuckles, picking up to steaming mugs of coffee in his magic as he walked over Okay okay, your Highness~
Head on over to the fireplace and get comfy.
Iridescence: didn’t need to be told twice, doing as told with a grin
Joe: comes next to her and sets himself down, levitating a mug to the beautiful mare beside him as he pulled a blanket over to cover them Better, bug-butt?
Iridescence: snuggles up beside him, her cold-tremors calming down near instantly Much better..~ takes a dip of her coffee with her insectoid tongue, letting the warmth fill up her insides as the kitties gathered around
they let a few minutes pass in silence, enjoying each other’s company and the shared warmth
Joe: So, any reason for the surprise visit?~ looks to her with a cocked eyebrow
Iridescence: Must I have a reason to see my friend?
Joe: You do when you continue to come to my house despite the sudden blizzard.
Iridescence: True true~ winks to him as she takes another drink I was feeling lonely at the castle..
Joe: Ooohhh I se-
Iridescence: NOT…sexually. I mean..I was honestly lonely. My mothers and my aunt are busy with a summit that will last until the end of the month, Artie is spending the evening with Jamboree…. shyly shuffles her hooves a bit And I guess with the holidays coming around, I’ve been feeling lonely a lot lately… frowns
Joe: Oh.. looks to her with sympathy in his eyes for a moment before he slowly leaned over and nuzzled her cheek Well…I’d be honored to have you with me for the holidays~
Iridescence: ! blushes a bit with a small smile, turning her head to return the nuzzling I’m not imposing?
Joe: Not at all, Irie. I was gonna be bored here since my parents are on vacation in the Crystal Empire…so if you’d like to stay here for a while…or at least, as long as you’re wantin-
Iridescence: gives him a gentle kiss on his cheek before she returned to cuddling up against him Well I’m at least staying the night. It’s too cold to travel~
Joe: blushes and smiles That’s fine with me…thanks Irie.
Iridescence: Thank you too, Joey~
