concept art is literally that concepts.
Well, there were also some concept art made by Boulder Media which is either one of the earliest drafts of the movie or a cancelled sequel to movie. Speaking of Boulder Media, Boulder Media (which is the same animation studio that animated most of the Equestria Girls Summertime Shorts with exception of music videos) animated Rainbow Roadtrip which uses the same animation style as the movie. Even though the movie was animated by DHX Media (the same animation studio that animated the entire show (except season 1 and the season 2 premiere), Best Gift Ever, shorts and a majority of Equestria Girls media).
We were well aware A sequel to The 2017 movie was not happening.
The only thing we knew about a sequel was that it was considered.

bro i think you need to get some new hobbies
Sorry, the sequel to the movie is cancelled due to the film’s box office failures and the show coming to an end in 2019. This isn’t the only film based on a Hasbro cartoon to not have sequel. Both the Transformers and G.I. Joe movies which were release three decades prior don’t have a sequel. And nor do any other movies based on tv shows including DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp and some movies based on tv shows I could watch in the future including The Chipmunk Adventure, Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters, Arthur’s Missing Pal, Barbar: The Movie, Barney’s Great Adventure, The Batman vs. Dracula, Return of the Beverly Hillbillies, BraveStarr: The Movie, GoBots: Battle of the Rock Lords, Clifford’s Really Big Movie, Cowboy Bebop: The Movie, The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course, Dinosaur Train: Adventure Island, Doug’s 1st Movie, Ed, Edd n Eddy’s Big Picture Show, The Even Stevens Movie, Serenity (the sequel to Firefly), The Man Called Flintstone, Franklin and the Turtle Lake Treasure, Good Luck Charlie, It’s Christmas!, Return to Green Acres, Billy and Mandy’s Big Boogey Adventure, Hannah Montana: The Movie, Jetsons: The Movie, Justice League vs. the Fatal Five, The Little Bear Movie, The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Mazinger Z: Infinity, Head (starring the Monkees), Odd Squad: The Movie, Postman Pat: The Movie, The Powerpuff Girls Movie, The Proud Family Movie, Recess: School’s Out, Regular Show: The Movie, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie, Rocky’s Modern Life: Static Cling, Steven Universe: The Movie, The Suite Life Movie, Teacher’s Pet, The Movie, Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo, Turtles Forever (the sequel to the 2003 TMNT cartoon), Thomas and the Magic Railroad, ThunderCats - Ho!, Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans, We Bare Bears: The Movie, Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie and Hey There, It’s Yogi Bear! These movies based on tv shows don’t have sequels.
How would you react if I were hired to work on the film and was the one who decided to make it G4? Because it will be actually feel like a real sequel when I have anything to say about it.
Which we did not know at the time but it’s still a soft reboot
Wrong. The second movie will be in the G4 universe.
But it’s not a sequel or even g4

No
Nope, it isn’t
And you pretty much just give away that you are trolling
You’re right, I hadn’t considered that we might suddenly start using the word “fanmade” completely differently from how we have up to this point.
It might be a fan that’s working on the movie.
Bruh– “fan-made” is literally in the source URL.
You never know for sure. Could be fake, could be real. Only time will tell.

This dates back to a time when we thought the 2021 movie was going to be a sequel. This wasn’t even intended to be a hoax or anything as the description (which the uploader did not include) reads…
This is a fan add poster and an idea I made for Hasbro to make a sequel to My Little Pny the Movie made this year, I made this poster because I heard a few rumours about My Little Pony the Movie having a sequel made, so I made a poster of Spike holding up two fingers under the logo.
In general the “fake” and “faker than a three dollar bill” tags are added to many things that probably shouldn’t have them since the person who created the image never intended to fool someone.
It’s not
It could be real.
Lies! I never forgot and who could forget Tempest?
Do you imagine there are going to be a lot of Blu-ray sales of those movies over the next five to ten years? Did they move a lot of toys through the Pink Aisle, do you suppose? Box office that’s ten times production cost for a movie which received essentially zero advertising and promotion is an absolute and inarguable success for an animated feature aimed at an age-specific audience, mah dude.
Yet other small budget movies like Lights Out and Curse of La Llorona were able to make bigger profits than the MLP Movie, so there’s really no excuse. Not to mention that outside of the brony fandom, people barely remember this film was even a thing.
