Left out of the final product or not, the tease was there. It doesn’t help that Applejack is the only mare who doesn’t have ship tease (canon anyway) with a stallion making her sexual preference kinda obvious even if the ship weren’t “canon”. I mean I’d love to live in a house with my favourite Earth Pony and Pegasus but it makes you think: how come they never once had AJ pine after a guy. Even Rainbow and Fluttershy had plenty of tease with Soarin, Quibble and Discord for instance. My headcanon is that RD is bisexual and just has a preference for mares. I mean it’s possible to like both after all. Lesbian, bisexual or not, you think that’s going to stop the shippers? Until we get Future!Dash with Applejack and they have a wedding, then I think you can interpret the ship any way you want. Same with Discord and Shy. It’s not like CheesePie where they have a foal.

I think ILKPAL’s hates Rainbow enough that she doesn’t care who she ended up with but prefers SoarinXRainbowDash like a lot of straight RD shippers.
 
I mean I personally ship Dashie with my male OC and whether it’s canon or not I don’t really care. I’ll admit, I made a tasteless joke on a Soarin Dashie picture mainly due to loathing the ship, about how canon says otherwise and that he’d have to fight Applejack to get Dashie or something but all is forgiven after he blocked me on DA for said comment, I asked one of my friends to message him and we quickly made up. I can be kinda pushy with RariDash and TwiDash and used to be pushy with FlutterDash but now I’m respecting people’s opinions and admitting when I’m wrong.
 
Besides, unless Magical Lesbian Spawn exists in Equestria who is Dashie gonna go to get a sperm donation for when she and AJ want a kid?

I do agree with everything you’re saying so yes. (Those are also classified as anti shippers btw of a certain ship) like, you can ship something but be TOTALLY anti against another ship. Like Ilovekpalot with fluttercord or something. A lot of anti shippers can ALSO be a rabid shipper of some sort. Honestly, both are god aweful. It’s okay if you ship something but to the people not “shippers in general” but to the people who go under peoples post to be like MY SHIP IS BETTER THAN YOURS is just stupid. I’ve seen it happen so many times with everyone.
 
That’s my point though as well. If you’re such an anti that you cant control your hatred for another ship then DONT go under stuff you KNOW will upset you just to hate on people for shipping it. At the end of the day it’s just shipping and the real stupid people are ACTUALLY the ones who go unders stuff on purpose who have no business being there just to bash it. And I can name a few names of people who ship bash alot in the fandom but I won’t mention names here to be a good person
 
long story short, if you dont like something. Dont go under it. Go under your own feed and post your own stuff and just learn how to grow a pair and stay off peoples crap you KNOW you dont like. Otherwise, you have no business being there at all other than to start drama with people. Plain and simple.

I’ve seen “but appledash is canon tho” on a rarijack post. I’ve seen “too bad it sunk” in reply to a jokey ‘best ship’ comment on a twidash post. I’ve seen a snarky “but none of this could happen in canon anyway because they hinted at AJ and RD instead” on a twidash post. I’ve seen “you forgot to add Discord reformed and married fluttershy” on an unrelated post for a “Discord’s history” headcanon. And more minor than the others because ultimately it’s the artist’s choice (I don’t mean to intend that this is toxic of them at all, but it certainly hurts), I know artists that will only do “canon ships”, and consider the ambiguous finale teases to be their borderline, negating every other option. Rabid shippers suck too, trust me. We can agree to disagree on who we think is the “worst”, I’m okay with that.
 
Ultimately, I agree people shouldn’t go into ship posts (even those related to the finale) and harass people. Don’t harass artists. Stick to places that invite discussion, like Twitter screencaps about canonicity. And overall, we should just stay in our respective fields and enjoy what we enjoyed from the epilogue on our own terms.

There is also a lot of pushy anti shippers who keep harrassing shippers for liking it. It goes both ways honestly. Trust me, pushy antis are the worst because these are people who actively try to tear down your veiws instead of just shutting up and letting people ship what they want to in peace. It gets annoying after a long time of people trying to “disprove” your ship under your status or artwork when they have no business being there other than to try and annoy others about how “non canon” it is or how “stupid” they are for shipping it.
 
I feel like if you dont like something or a ship then just move on and dont look at it. That simple. Unfortunately, everyone will look for some way to get their rude opinions in no matter what form. I’d respect antis more if they were more constructive with their veiws and did it on their OWN time. Not under ever shippers status. I think anti shippers are worse than shippers honestly.
 
Unless you’re like one of those shippers that TELL other people they should ship this or that and shove it down their throat. Than yes, THAT I dont agree with.

Obviously I don’t speak for everyone, but if they had done that I would have respected it more. I still would go my own way, + I’d be disappointed in the forced timeskip shipping when that’s something better saved for the fandom (not to mention the pains that would cause), but I would’ve mostly kept it to myself.
 
Alas, that’s not what they did, and scrapped content is mostly irrelevant, so everyone has the freedom to say whether it is or is not canon in their own opinion. More arguing, but at least no one has to feel invalidated except by pushy shippers.

I don’t see why they couldn’t have had Dashie and Applejack kiss if only to prove they are a couple. It would have triggered homophobes and people who want Dashie to be with somepony else, but hey, it would have reduced the ambiguity of the situation.

I just want to say that this ship is not canon. DiscoShy is though as there was a cut scene of them kissing that was removed for time constraints. AppleDash did not have this scene which likeky means if anything the two live together with Soarin in a polyamorous relationship.
