I’ve been reading Off the Mark. This is Starlight’s “punishment” for trying to kill Mark and Twilight, forcing them to fight through many deadly and horrible alternate realities, and actually killing filly Dash in another reality. Mark also made Starlight his royal advisor.
 
Starlight is even more of a karma Houdini in this story then she was in canon.
