Nah, man, I get it. This style doesn’t appeal to everybody. I kind of don’t like it myself. But you’re right, art is a subjective thing so this isn’t a bad style.

“tumblr style” isn’t a real thing and this video you’ve linked me having like 4 or 5 different styles in it tells me that there’s not just one “”“tumblr art style”””. some people are gonna have art styles you don’t like
plus even if there WERE a tumblr art style, why’s that a problem?? plenty of people do realism but you don’t call that “deviantart style”. plenty of people like to shit on other people’s art just because it doesn’t do what they want but you don’t call that “derpibooru style”
“tumblr style” is a real phenomenon. I just found this video on it, but theres tons of vids about it. this artist has the 3rd style cover in the video i found, as best i can tell.

I don’t think so. This type of style is used in Tumblr, sure, but I’ve seen it in other places too like DeviantArt. Likewise, Tumblr does have a variety of artists on there with different styles on there.

your current filter.It probably wasn’t intentional on the artist’s part but these two pictures kind of remind me of blackface. It just doesn’t sit well with me.
also, of all the minority races to make rarity, i would not have chose black tbh, but thats the artist’s choice i guess.

These two are so off model it took me looking at the tags to figure out who they were supposed to be. I wouldn’t even consider this MLP fan art.
