About the “but they are doing chores together” thing, RD is seen helping aj out multiple times in the show, and since they are both the only ones still living in Ponyville it’s most likely that they wanted to travel together but AJ’s chores delayed her, and dash didn’t want to leave without her.
Also the writers left a lot very vague so that headcanons would not be crushed (except pinkie for some reason) which is nice and all but honestly I think that did more harm than good.
How? Well, simply put, the fact that they’re talking about chores - in a way they sound like house chores (and they definitely are, given that what other chores would they share?) - along with the fact that they arrive together makes a STRONG suggestion that these two are now living together.
And why would two mares with clashing personalities and very different jobs, both of whom previously had their own households of their own, be possibly sharing a house between the two of them nowadays?
To many, the obvious and logical conclusion is that they are a couple.
Is it just a possible conclusion? Yes.
Is it possible that they are just roommates but not a couple? Odd, but certainly possible.
Could it be that they don’t even live together and the conversation actually had a completely different context? Possible as well.
But does that make it farfetched to suspect or conclude that the two of them are a couple based off that scene?
No, it’s not. And it’s not only perfectly valid and might I add, a VERY plausible scenario, but it’s also one that was implicitly implied.
your current filter.The staff made the scene knowing some people would read it as suggesting that they are a couple, and they purposely left it as such. So there’s no denying that the implications, while ambiguous enough for plausible deniability, were intentional, so anyone who reads into the scene as “they’re a couple” is valid and by no means reaching.
So there’s your answer. Now move on.

Well, if we’re running with this, then everything in every episode premise must also be canon.
This includes but is not limited to:
-EqG and all its events are explicitly canon
-Flurry Heart and Luster Dawn are the same character
With the Premise is Cannon argument, not only is Brad cucking all twi fans, but literal inconsistencies are also to be labeled canon.

Well, then let’s take a look at what happened
Arguments regarding Locked Script
-FUTURE RAINBOW DASH and FUTURE APPLEJACK enter next, bickering good-naturedly.

-AJ: Well, maybe I would if you did them the right way. (to the rest) Sorry. We’re not the last ones are we?
As we’ve seen previously in the show, the mane 6 are no strangers to helping around the farm. (Ticket Master, Applebuck Season). If you’d like to raise the bar and say they need to live together, there is no hard evidence in the show for AJ & RD living together, only the implication through them leaving from Ponyville Together. With the rest of the mane 6 coming from different places (sans FS who runs the Animal Sanctuary, who has Discord to teleport her in) its not all that big a stretch that the element of loyalty would wait for her good friend. But that’s just speculation. We’re talking hard evidence here.
Let’s give them the benefit of the doubt tho. Maybe living together and working together DOES mean you’re in a relationship. Under these very same principles, TwiSpike, StarBurst, DiscoShy, and anyone else who lives together and do chores together ARE together. I guess by this logic if you’ve ever had a roommate of the same gender, you’re a fated homosexual.
i think it’s fairly unlikely that they decided to move in together when they both already had houses, but who knows.

people have been trying to make the argument that because RD and AJ arrived together in canterlot in s09e26 (see >>2167910) that they are married or something. it’s a stupid and pretty baseless argument tbh, because if you want to have that be canon, then there are a ton of other ponies in the show that would be married at this point.
I’m mad we didn’t get an “Applejack Fucks An Apple” episode not in that way - Applejack’s a southern pony, but she ain’t that southern
