Well, in the movie, Arthur Fleck is very skinny and such, but even then, the central idea is the same.
I’d sure as hell read that story.

Ever since that scene where Marble was shown upset at seeing Big Mac and Sugar Bell together, there have been jokes about her being an incel.
Plus she’s worked on a rock farm her entire life, so underneath that cute, shy exterior are some muscles you don’t want to be on the wrong end of. And I imagine she would need the same amount of unrelenting awfulness Arthur went through to finally snap.
My best guess is because she’s shown as a quiet, introverted outsider in the show’s canon, so when compared to her siblings, it’s easier to imagine her being the type to snap the way Arthur Fleck snaps.
