@Beau Skunky
The uk does seem to use g bit more.
For example looking at my blu rays for Toy Story the the 1st one is the only 1 that has PG rating not even 3
@TexasUberAlles
The movie was dark at times, kinda justifying the PG rating somewhat.
Still, I’ve seen some old G-rated movies get away with worse. Like the nightmare scenes in “Little Nemo Adventures in Slumberland,” the blood, and alcholic drink use in some old Disney or Don Bluth movies, and such.
Heck, some even had minor swears like “damn” in “Secret of NIHM,” and Disney’s “The Great Mouse Detective” had a stripper.
One of the times I saw The Movie in a theater I could hear a kid who couldn’t have been more than ten or eleven say “…holy shit.” half under their breath at this scene.
@Beau Skunky
Honestly I think it was that mind set that help caused most things to Almost never get G rating.the 2017 pony movie got a pg and it really didn’t need it
There’s another character that comes to mind when it comes to melting but I don’t think “Oohh, I’m melting!” will get anyone to remember who it is so I’ll use his other famous quote…
*“Remember me Eddie? When I killed your brother, I talked just like this!”*

Nowadays, “PG” basically just means “G.”

Eh, I’ve seen scarrier stuff in the original 80s/90s show.
And kids can handle some edge, if we don’t expose them to some edge, they’ll grow up unable to handle stuff.
@Photon Jet
ISN’T IT LOVELY?!
“Good.”
Well that character directly referenced the lines from WoO, so…
*“Remember me Eddie? When I killed your brother, I talked just like this!”*

The last words of the wicket witch of the east while melting in front of Dorothy. (Wizard of Oz)
A movie from a time when adults and even kids knew the difference between fantasy and reality.
I still know that song by heart. lol
Love Rareware games.
“Who’d have thought a good little squirrel like you could destroyed my beautiful clagginess!”
And yes I referenced a reference to the Wizard of Oz instead of the original.
