Too bad. I actually agree with the management telling her to tone Pinkie down. She was perfect in season one. Still plenty zany, but not overdone.

All the characters became super exaggerated versions of themselves, except Robin who basically had to become someone else to work with the show’s comedy. Teen Titans Go! vs Teen Titans actually got that very right.

Guys, this is from the TOY COMMERCIAL. The animation in toy commercials is NEVER as good as it is in the show, nor do the voices or attitudes make sense half the time. A single commercial isn’t adequate to judge what style they’ll be using, especially when the other official announcements had different looking animation!

Pinkie being spaztic is nothing if she’s the only one with this quirk. Rest of Mane6 losing their subtle or more stoic personalities it’s horrible just like in Teen Titans GO where Raven and Robin stopped being cool and became another wacky characters like BB and Starfire. All the feels of Cyborg dealing with his fake cybernetic body and philosophy of what part still make him human was also discarded for bad memes about him beating the meat looking at Raven’s butt.

If the squash and stretch seen in “DC Super Hero Girls” is any indication, I think Lauren would’ve done a great job portraying a “spazzing” Pinkie Pie.

Pinkie is at times annoying and obnoxious, but is still an interesting character with depth instead of being a huge spaz all the time, that would have utterly ruined her character.
 
I give plenty of credit where credit is due, and we wouldn’t have the show at all if it weren’t for Faust.  
That being said, I think the show grew and became something amazing despite her no longer having a hand in it.

Yep! A lighter, softer show would allow Pinkie Pie to be crazier than she already is.

You do have to consider tone. Pinkie being too out there makes it difficult to use her in a serious matter, which would make her mood breaking in tenser moments. In a short, slice of life show however you can let her run a bit wilder.

actually, lemme rephrase what i said.  
it’s not so much i assume she’s criticising the art style. i just think she sets high standard for her characters that she doesn’t own anymore. it’s just like back with equestria girls - her husband saying that EG is something she never wanted and all. and yet by the time EG was released, even lauren was already off the team.
