Personality: Dream Catcher is a quite, modest and kind stallion. He doesn’t talk much, and instead prefers to listen. He is a very private pony, and finds it hard to share his personal life with others, even people close to him.

Dream Catcher is the son of Princess Twilight Sparkle and Princess Luna. He is a kind, quiet guy. He’ll gladly listen to you talk for hours, but is unlikely to open up himself. He will hear you out when you have no one else to talk to, so he often visits ponies when they are at their lowest of lows, literally trapped in their nightmares. He inherited his mother Luna’s ability to dream walk, and now does the job of visiting ponies dreams to help them instead of his mother. He found that he was much better fit for the job due to his caring nature. He is a very secretive person, and there’s much that not even his family knows about him. It took him years to come to terms with being Female To Male transgender, and years more to come out to his parents and seek treatment. That happened quite a while back, and he has since fully transitioned, and barely anyone knows that he isn’t a cis (non-trans) male.

Fun Facts:

1. Dream doesn’t look like his mother Twilight because they aren’t actually related. In Equestria two mares can have a child using a spell that essentially mixes the magic of both of them and casts it into physical form, and makes one of them carry the child. Due to complications, Luna and Twilight instead had to use a sperm donor.
2. Dream Catcher is half Umbrum. This is due to Princess Luna being a full Umbrum. He knows, but his mothers, who have tried to keep this away from him don’t know that he knows. Other than that no-one has any idea. You can read more on Umbrums in my next gen universe here
3. His magic colour is the exact same as Twilight’s. Twilight truly believes, that despite not being her biological son, Dream Catcher did inherit something from her.

Relationships:

Dream Catcher is best friends with Jackpot Chance.The two met through dreams. Dream visits people in their dreams to help them, and since Jack has chronic night terrors Dream often helps him deal with them. Most people see Jack as the arrogant outspoken person he is, but Dream is probably the only one who gets to see his vulnerable side. Jack is also notably less rude to Dream then he is to most other people. Likewise, Dream is less secretive around Jackpot then he is other people. Jack was the first person to whom Dream came out as trans.
