In canon, it’s her speed that’s most often commented on. I mean we don’t have many feats, but I wouldn’t put this past her (especially with plenty of time to prepare).

That escalated rather quickly. Now Tempest is far from being blameless in letting things escalate that far (lightning up her horn and tell them to try to hurt her) but that mare just tried to kill her. They are nothing more than bullies who decided to harass her, because they thought they had strength in numbers. Now that Tempest showed them how outmatched they are, their courage is already faltering. Whatever beating they receive, they deserve it.

That crossbow bolt is traveling somewhere between 135 to 200 mph/220 to 330kph.  
That is badass.  
A stupid human might be able to catch an arrow going 100mph/ 145kph.

Interesting. They are quite literally trying to kill her, so she’s justified in defending herself. However it would be a shame if she were to hurt ponies when trying to turn over a new leaf, coupled with the fact Twilight herself personally pardoned Tempest, but these ponies were hurt quite severely by her in the past. Hopefully for the sake of these ponies and Lullaby, she doesn’t do anything drastic.

I am impressed that Tempest would have the agility, reflexes, and mental acuity to both dodge and catch a bolt mid-flight like that but also worried knowing from all her years in battle, she has developed an addiction to the rush only live combat can give.
