Octavia had woken up this particular morning not feeling up to the day. While she got ready, Blue went into the kitchen and made tea for her and himself and set the mugs on the table to cool. Octavia came to the threshold of the kitchen, stopped and sighed heavily. “What’s wrong?” he asked. “Im not sure, I just dont feel like Im not up to it this morning.” she replied. She made her way into the kitchen and stopped just before the table, staring at her mug of tea. Blue wasnt exactly good at picking up on emotions, but he knew something was off and talking wasnt gonna fix it.
 
He came up beside her and pulled her close to him and gently rested his head on hers. She leaned into him and gently nuzzled his neck. After a few minutes she let out a contented sigh and smiled a bit. He looked at her, knowing he’s done his job in comforting her. The two stayed like this for a few minutes more and then proceeded to have their tea and breakfast. After cleaning up the dishes, she gave him a peck on the cheek. “That’s for earlier.” she said, smiling as she walked out. He followed her to the door and opened it for her. “Im just glad your feeling better.” He replied.

This was inspired by a drawing from James Corck drawing of Derpy not having a good morning. She looked like she needed somepony to love on her and make her feel better and it gave me the idea for this interaction between Octavia and Blue.
