Huh… Not gonna lie I still stand by my statement, but that is a whole lot longer now xD
(*latter)
Okay, fair enough.
Let’s amend that to, sane people who stop thinking they’re in the right will change their ways, to be in the right as they see it, again.
Many admit cold heartedly that they kill and realize what they’re doing and either don’t care or just enjoy it.
Some say that they are “forced” to do it whether by a higher power or a voice telling them to, usually these are those that suffer from delusions.
The ladder could be better argued as those who know it’s wrong and genuinely care, but cannot help their impulses while the first type of people just don’t care what others think and care less if it’s wrong or not.
Either way, I would still stress that these people still aren’t like That where they believe their actions are justified.
*Uncle
Do serial killers really know what they’re doing is wrong, or do they simply know others think they’re in the wrong?
There is a difference.
Not quite. See, there are legitimately some who know what they do is wrong, but since it feels so good they do it anyways like serial killers.
Rust here thinks he’s in the right since his father evidently was killed by Tempest (or at least by the Storm King’s men) and he wants justice.
Everyone does. Literally everyone.
Those who stop seeing themselves as being in the right, change their ways to be in the right as they see it again.
Again, blinded. No one forced him to do all this, it was all an active choice because he can’t let go of his hate and I think this will destroy him in the end. Or not, who knows where this story will go
Pretty sure he sees himself in the right. Either Thistle gets him the antidot or he’ll kill Lullaby. From his point of view he’d argue that Thistle could’ve prevented her demise then.

Well he’s about to commit murder to an innocent pony (and a child no less) so he can’t claim to be in the right when he’s about to do the very thing he wants Tempest dead for. He’s clearly blinded by his self righteousness, either that or he thinks it’s ok for HIM to do it for some reason
But he hasn’t killed anyone. So from his point of view, he’s in the right.
Oh shit
She didn’t kill anyone; it’s Tempest who is responsible for Thistle father / Rusty’s uncle’s death, though.
Fizzlepop was the commander of an army. There will be a lot of blood on her hooves—more so than Thistledown.

A lot less than what?
Probably a lot less than Fizzlepop did.
Bravo to the writer on this. A very nicely told story—even if things needed a little reshuffle (one of the wonderful advantages of digital media is that changes are easy).
@Dust Rock
Pretty sure he refers to Winter Rye, her farther. Since she wasn’t on the farm when the Storm King’s forces attacked them.
Edited because: Misspelling
