A little Something Inspired by the Intro to Dawn of War II.

I’ll be honest, personally this one still feels like Something of a Work in Progress. But I did start this particular project with plans to eventually animate it. . . Perhaps I stilll will eventually (If that Happens, I’ll probably update both the description and the Image)

Some items of note:

At first I thought maybe Changelings, Dragons, Griffins/Gryphons, or even Hippogriffs would do as a good stand-in for the Eldar, but then I remembered Eldar are similar enough to humans in appearance except for their elven ears, So I decided I needed something more ponylike. While the Kirin would have been perfect, due to both the Nirik being an excellent analogue for the Dark Eldar, and they’re just pony-like enough to make a good Eldar analogue, sadly the only Kirin SFM model we have is Autumn Blaze (who is something of a Fan Sweetheart). Nevermind the fact that the Autumn Blaze model has noticable clipping issues when used with pony outfits. Eventually it struck me, “why not use Batponies?” This choice was partly due to the fact we know little so about Batponies outside their few appearances in the show and the IDW comics, and the fact that many fan works see them being ostracized by the other pony races and living in their own societies much like the Eldar.

As for why I chose to have Lightning Dust as an Eldar pone, well I needed somepony who people love to hate and Lightning Dust certainly fit the bill

“Batdar”? “Eldbat”? “Thesdar”? “Eldstral”? “Theldar”? If anyone has a good Idea for a good portmanteau of Eldar and Batpony/Thestral, since I can’t think of a good one I’d love to hear it.
