I understand like I believe Sonata is playing dumb cause cute dumb girls get free stuff more then the smart girls I also believe that Sonata knew and understood what she and her sisters where doing and did not care.
 
As to Aria I do think there is more to her I red the siren origin comic witch she is short tempered over all not just with her sisters but she did still bicker with Sonata in Equestria over silly things so there is more under the edge then stuck on earth in fact Aria complained not about being here in the movie but about the amount of “food” they could get. So I think she is not mad at world or edgey angry but she is some one that actually likes being angry about something. She happy she still act angry.

It’s really not that big of a problem but I just don’t like when people just stop at the “she’s edgy” part and don’t look further into it than that. Especially more so when she didn’t do anything particularly edgy in the movies. She just complained a lot. She seems more like a moody teenager to me than someone mad at the world, although I guess those two things can be one in the same.
 
Seems like it’s just more of a meme than anything. But that’s just me. Different people with different interpretations of blah blah.

That’s the thing a lot of people see her as the angry one not bored or gloomy not psychopathic just like edgy mad at the world her clothing choices of punk rock look adds to that

Okay so one single scene taking place 1,000 years ago and still doesn’t line up with how she acted in the two movies.  
That means absolutely nothing.
 
Plus on the subject of full-powered villains/antagonists almost killing people, Sunset almost killed Twilight when she had full power but was stopped. When the Sirens achieved their full power again, they could have easily killed the humane 6 but they deliberately held off once they figured they were dealt with and out of the game. Hell Aria herself could have kept going without the other two but didn’t.
 
The point is, she doesn’t come off angry as fuck and quick to the punch in the movies at all. She’s gloomy, bored, and irritable, and that’s with her dealing with Sonata and Adagio all day. I don’t see her as being a rage-issue having psychopath.

She was the first to attack the pillars of magic in the flash back in the show and she did so by snapping her jaws at a pony that’s small enough that if she connected would have killed them by biting in half if she didn’t one gulp pony
