Yes you are. To be fair, never understood hype around Chrysalis, in S2 and S6 she was pretty boring. Tirek/Sombra were more threatening Starlight was more charismatic. Only in S9 bug lady became something somehow interesting

We did actually. She thought that by draining magic she’d be able to make her own with the magic of friendship, a force she knew was very powerful, powerful enough to grant her power beyond her wildest dreams. This actually goes to show that she wanted power so much to the point of obsession (appropriately matching Tirek). Her strategic prowess/manipulation techniques did keep her interesting for the little we saw of her. She was essentially the one who made Tirek and Chrysalis pull through with a team-up in the middle and ending of the last ark. There’s some villains in media with little to no backstory that manage to be entertaining and have identifiable personalities, Cozy Glow is one of them.

That’s not really an excuse. At least give her something. As of now she’s effectively dead and we have zero info on why she wanted to do something as drastic as draining every bit of magic. Although it doesn’t help that we’ve seen the last two seasons behind the scenes were kind of a mess writing wise.

Not really. Writers never even bothered with remotely any tangible motive or backstory leading to said motive at all. Like they just checked a box with “kid villain” and left it at that.
