Oh Twilight, you’re such an egghead. But damn is she adorable even when she looks nervous about something.

You’re welcome.
Not proactively trying and thinking of every possible scenario does not detract the general intellect of an individual especially compared to the mundane average. But I took a look at the review in question.
@Chibi dragon lord
That wasn’t Twilight’s goal.
Her goal was to prove that Pinkie Sense didn’t exist, or at the very least, was nonsensical to the point it could not possibly exist in any consistent manner. In reality, proving an absolute negative is a logical impossibility (i.e. you can’t prove aliens don’t exist for instance). But you can prove the unlikelihood of something being true. Since Pinkie Sense derives reactions to future events, if Twilight’s thought was true, then it means many, if not most, of the time Pinkie Sense “goes off” it means nothing.
But As soon as Twilight realized that Pinkie Sense was not controlled, but sprouted at random, she immediately pulled the plug on her observations.
Because her Pinkie Sense is random and not consistently always triggered, having hundreds and hundreds of things fall and her not or sometimes predict it, would not only be impractical, but meaningless. Trying to continue in a controlled environment would’ve been pointless. Trying to cause things to fall and see if she reacts would’ve also been pointless.
The idea isn’t to trigger the instance; the idea is to catch Pinkie doing something that predicts the future, and seeing it not go through. i.e. The “burden of proof” is on Pinkie.
To “disprove” Pinkie Sense, the correct approach of observation is to catch Pinkie Sense not working after it was naturally activated. And since it’s random, that means waiting for Pinkie first. Like if I state every time I hiccuped 3 times it means it will rain, to disprove me, you have to wait for the 3 hiccups first, and see if it rains.

We will admit. There have been times where twilight wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed.
In the episode Feeling Pinkie Keen, when she’s trying to figure out how Pinkie’s senses actually work in her lab she doesn’t even think of doing something to trigger her pinkie sense by like tying something above them to see if her senses would predict it falling.
If you’ve ever seen joshscorcers review on the episode then you’ll know what I’m talking about.
You’re ingeniously intellectually stimulating beyond the comprehension of the median, prosaic perception of the plebeian populace.
The purple honestly does make her look pretty too.
I mean after all.
PURPLE IS MY FAVORITE COLOR!
