Indigo and Oasis trotted along the beach, their hooves occasionally kicking up sand that almost shone in the light of the setting sun. There was a companionable silence between them for a while until Oasis spoke up. “So, do you like it? This walk, I mean.”
 
Indigo smiled a little and looked at her hooves. “It’s nice,” she said, turning to look at her girlfriend. “I don’t usually have time to see the sunset with work.”  
Oasis beamed at her, a brilliant smile that made Indigo’s heart skip. “Good!” she said brightly. “It’s good to slow down sometimes.”  
Indigo could concede to that, nodding slightly in agreement.
 
Soon enough, they reached a spot where they could sit close to the ocean without the tide soaking them. Indigo settled into the sand, enjoying the warmth as Oasis laid down next to her, moving close enough that their hooves were touching.
 
They watched the sunset in silence for a while before Indigo finally spoke.  
“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?”  
Oasis smiled, looking over at her girlfriend. “Yeah,” she said, “beautiful.”
