I Think it does for the most part.
Twilight is the genius leader still, Rarity is still the fashion-obsessed drama queen, Rainbow is the same speed nut, Pinkie is still nuts, AJ is still the apple farmer, Fluttershy is still the sweet-natured one with occasional outbursts, ect. ect.
My dude, I literally said being a silly spin-off wasn’t a bad thing. It just has to stay true to the original characters.

But I agree, it kinda still has that MLP “cuteness” too it mixed with cartoonish humor, so I think “Unikitty” is a better comparison, as it’s more like that.
TTG Meanwhile is a TVPG sitcom pretending to be about superheroes, and basically every character usually dicking each other over. So far, P.L. isn’t like that.

Suit yourself… And honestly, I’ve seen TTG, and this is most definitely not TTG IMO.
The visual gags, and surreal backgrounds honestly remind me more of stuff like “Adventures of Sonic.” Now we just need Rainbow Dash eating chili dogs.

As I said, it’s a new canon, and a new Twilight.
It’s not OOC in this canon apparently… And in fairness, FIM Twilight has overreacted to things many times before for lulz. (“Lesson Zero?”)
