Advance was referencing the widespread theory that this was originally written as the last episode. Larson said he wrote it in November 2011, which could very likely have been before Hasbro greenlit S4. Plus, it marks the fulfillment of the 65-episode syndication quota common for children’s cartoons - so if the show hadn’t been a big success, Hasbro could’ve chosen not to renew it for another season but still be able to license it out to other networks for reruns. If there was no guarantee at that time that the show would continue beyond this point, it would’ve made sense for them to plan this as the end.

They said they were working on S4. So unless Hasbro up and cancles it for no reason, I’m sure there’s gonna still be S4.
