Harsh, but true.
Gets cancelled without even finishing the first season despite network favoritism
And as mentioned before Most of the people But went to the school do not use the style As it’s not what the school teachers
Lauren Faust, and therefore MLP:FIM IS CalArts.

@Beau Skunky
Why do you say that?
Though, glancing at it, ironically he likes some cartoons like “Stephen Universe” that also take heat for using/popularizing the so-called “CalArts style” that he’s complaining about here.
Sadly, you might be right.
I mean, I understand some criticisms, and I tire of “dense and wackier” reboots too sometimes, and “Pony Life” isn’t perfect, but it’s far from being “Thundercats Roar” bad, and unlike Thundercats, at least comedy kinda suits MLP better. (Even G1 had it’s silly moments.)
And sometimes “Lighter, funnier, and softer” reboots aren’t always bad. “Batman Brave and the Bold,” and “Justice League Action” were quite good, and are still a love letter to their respective franchises.

They use the term because crybabies need a word to fire their inept feelings at, despite not knowing what that word means.
Yeah, meanwhile other “classic” cartoons like “Dexter’s Laboratory,” “2 Stupid Dogs,” and even some Hanna Babara cartoons from the ‘60s have similar “thick straight line/Bean head/mouth/huge head/tiny body” styles, and they’re quite beloved regardless.
If those were made today, people would be bashing them, calling them “CalArts” too probably.

And it was also meant to Disney not modern Disney just Disney.
Also I think most of the shows that use the “CalArts style” Don’t actually look at the way people described the style as
As I’ve said before… Ironically, Lauren Faust creator of MLP:FIM was a “CalArts” grad’, while most of these cartoons that get labeled “CalArts style” shows aren’t even made by CalArts students… So honestly, regurgitating that term (coined by that pervert John K.) is very ignorant.
Also, Pony Life characters don’t have circular “Simpsons/Rocko” teeth as seen here, and that’s not even solely a trademark of the so-called “CalArts style” anyway.
