I feel for Starlight in this episode. She clearly was one of the few ponies outside of Fluttershy, that really considered Discord a friend.
 
That look on her face from what Discord said, just before she blasted him. Not an angry face, but a big eyed shock that Discord thought that way about her, despite her thinking they were good friends now.

Yeah, that is what I am thinking as well. While Starlight may be unusually powerful for a unicorn, she is still just a unicorn. Discord is the Spirit of Chaos. A being that far surpasses any unicorn in terms of power and rivals only the top Alicorns. He has no right to judge Starlight about power. And yes, I know the Mane Six was able to defeat him during a time where none of them were Alicorns. But they had to work together to accomplish that. I really don’t think they could have defeated him individually. So my point still stands on that.

This moment made the episode. So fucking satisfying.

This episode shows that Starlight has the patience of a saint. I doubt any of us would have lasted as long as she did before blasting him like this.
 
And Discord, Starlight has never been power hungry. Plus shes much more competent than you, so you have no right to judge.

He had that coming.
