Well, not the current of course. But they could have perfectly made it fit if the prequel comic was different. They could have actually written a story based on that description.
Precisely what I was saying. Capper being a former aristocrat doesn’t make sense with current continuity.
So according to the movie descriptions:
“Capper, a smooth-talking (and singing) con-artist, was once a swanky aristocrat living the high-life with pride and dignity. That is, until Storm King came into power. A deal gone wrong turned Capper’s threads on fleek into colorless rags, leaving Capper penniless and in a lifelong debt with the Storm King. To make ends meet, he relies on his wit and charm, distracting unsuspecting victims from his quick hands and swift tail. Capper’s crimes aren’t driven by malice. At his core, he feels a deep insecurity at his fall from grace, and believes his appearance dictates his status.”
Which isn’t what was shown in the prequel comic, or told here. In fact, Capper never makes a deal with the Storm King, the deal was with Verko (which frankly makes more sense with the film).
Thing is, he was never an aristocrat. It says right here that he ran with a gang since childhood. The Storm King invaded Panthera when he was already an adult, or at least a teenager.
He was an aristocrat in Panthera.
The Storm King destroyed Panthera.
One thing led to another, and Capper wound up in Klugetown.
Penniless and indebted to a mob boss.
It’s all in the movie prequel comic.
Well, how would the plot of the movie work if he was from aristocracy?
“Cosmos” takes place after season 8 and before season 9. And “Nightmare Knights” is set before the season 8 finale.
Some of them did, not all of them.
Cosmos exist in S10… and Nightmare Knights is something that actually can fit in MLP chronology.
Is that a pre-Season 10 comics thing? Because as far as the Season 10 comics are concerned, none of the comics before Season 10 happened.
Capper: Okay.
So Discord is in fact “exiled” and forced not to use his powers - as expected, this can be problematic in the face of the challenges in Abyssinia. Capper at least explained his background, as expected - but I guess he knows more about the real situation in his home country, and thus is somewhat nervous about what he wants to discover. It is, after all, a humanitarian expedition en route to the Panthera that was left in ruins.
