I know they were missing the point, I just decided to humor it anyway because I like to debate.

Okay, so I guess a butterfly should just walk the rest of it’s life. I mean it WAS a caterpillar born with just legs (many in fact) and grew wings!
She was an unicorn who turned into an alicorn. It would be just as much a waste for a butterfly to not fly or human to not walk as it would for Twilight to not use her wings here.
Stereotypical case of missing the point. But this pic is just trying to be funny, so meh.
She’s a horse, though. A horned horse that grew wings. Not a human who already had legs to learn how to walk with.
To be fair, that’s like telling a human to not walk with their legs if they’re comfortable with crawling. You’re wasting a gift. Doesn’t matter if you never asked to have legs or be born.
It’s a popular thing with ponies, getting back in touch with the plot.
Twilight described a graceful arc similar to a sky chariot losing a wheel and doing a flat spin as she squawked into a bellyflop at the nearby pond.
“AND I DIDN’T SAY SWIM LIKE A DUCK, I SAID FLY LIKE AN EAGLE! CHEESE AND CRACKERS!”
Well I laughed 👀
