Here’s a reach, what if Forgalorga’s cat ponies series is what happens after all this? After they get replaced the Mane Six now live in a human’s house (maybe a crew of the show for meta sake), and they have been away from their world for so long they regress to acting like cats. That’s definitely a bug reach but I like that idea. :P
Wait. If that’s true, would that be a nod to G5 coming up and playing on people’s worries of it “replacing” G4?
