“How May I Be Of Service?”

Ladies and gentlemen…we got ’er.
After many years of wondering if this was even possible in VaM, finally one creator proved up to the task of delivering. All my thanks to the godlike OniEkohvius and their fabulous model porting acumen. There were some sacrifices to be made for look accuracy (no actual physical eyeballs), such that not every angle is 100% perfect and some utility items don’t work, but damn it’s close so praise be! This is also an absolutely massive improvement over the first time I tried a VaM Rarity post using this environment, my embarrassing effort still available for all to see here.
As a reminder, this IS a virtual reality application and those ARE fully simulated, removable clothes with a fully simulated/physic-ed Rarity underneath soooooooooo…y’know. >_> It’s neat.
The picture was taken in desktop mode, but depending on your hardware your VR results may look almost exactly the same (assuming you were to make the same look edits I did). At any rate, I share this with any of you interested in taking the VaM plunge for yourselves, or just with any of you at all really. It can be a big ole’ timesink so can’t blame anyone for steering clear, but when it’s good, it’s great.
(NOTE: The horn shown here is just a random morphed ice-cream cone asset, not actually part of the base look.)

Ah, I knew there had to be a better fix, thanks. And yeah FLTec’s ponies are really lacking, like Chrysalis looks good but Flutters and Twilight are really lacking. It might just be that Chrysalis’ black skin hides the flaws of his imperfect morphs.

While I appreciated FLTec’s effort at first, after downloading it some time ago I saw that the Fluttershy was quite flawed and not worth the price in the end. It was obvious some sort of concentrated/unique port effort would be needed to make those kinds of models work in VaM, but it wasn’t until recently that I knew which creator I wanted to task with that job. Of course, making her free for everyone else was important to me as well (and to most people who commission artists/creators, naturally).
Regarding Rarity’s teeth, I’m assuming you’re talking more about her mouth/tongue collision issues. That appears to have been a common enough problem during various VaM things over development, such that there is a checkmark in the “Jaw Physics & Triggers” Person tab labelled “Tongue Collison.” This is unclicked in Rarity’s VAR release by default but new scenes/classic pose loads will often have this setting enabled, which makes her mouth go berserk due to the awkward shaping. I’ve been able to manage this in some anime models with some tongue edits but not here, so I recommend keeping that off.
No reason to turn all of the model’s collision off just for this, as that just takes away the fun part that makes VaM unique. You will still find however that you’ll need to adjust the teeth morphs (and diffuse/specular color edits) heavily for them to be at all pleasing to look at when she opens her mouth, but with the right teeth morphs and facial poses for reference, this is easy enough.

FLTec has made a Chrysalis, Twilight, and Fluttershy for VaM but they’re nowhere near as good as OniEkohvius’ Rarity (also they’re patreon locked and Rarity is free) One issue I’ve seen with Rarity is her teeth get messed up when you load her into a different scene and the way I fix it is by turning off the collision checkmark in the first control panel. This can cause issues with animations and such that rely on collision though, but it’s worth it to finally have a good version of an anthro MLP in an easy-to-use and modular VR program.
