rewatching and you know what the expressions and backgrounds do look really nice! but leg movement looks odd and if pipps “iconic” line is her catchphrase then its gonna get irratating fast.

I don’t know if the fact that they’re all going to live together in the same house bodes well for the plot, because even though it’s a separate series, some things can’t be completely different from the main show.
If they live together in the main show as well, it could mean that most of the events will take place in Maretime Bay and the storyline will revolve around learning to live with others.
Sure, I’m not expecting great things from this youtube series and the main show will be better than this, but as we only have eight episodes, I’m starting to doubt there will be much deeper lore.
Maybe MLP-MYM is the Mane Five going on adventures, and MLP-TYT is the Mane Five chilling at home having slice-of-life stories. The two series could be compatible, even if their focus is different.

Could be considered ripping off the band-aid straightaway.
Get the mediocrity out first so that the main course will seem much greater in comparison.
The best they could do in actual full lenght tv series is improving in making reedemable/reformable villains.
