Yeah possibly. Like I said it doesn’t matter who it is really, though there are certain characters that the fandom will like to imagine that it is. I’m more concerned about the execution of the character. I don’t want it to be a villain that we very quickly don’t care what happens to them.. funnily enough it almost looks like a bootleg of my oc, She even says a thing my oc would say. coincidences sure are weird huh

I believe that her being Twilight Sparkle is not a very likely scenario (not impossible, but I wouldn’t bet on that). That would go against everything this character represented and it’s not a series for such a trope. It would be not easy to believably justify such a transformation anyway.
Anyway, consider what we know so far:
  • she seems to be a “natural born” allicorn
  • she claims to own the crystals (another popuar speculation is that the pegasus crystal might be a rework of the Crystal Heart)
So, I propose another hypothesis: The new villain might be a corrupted Flurry Heart, or one of her descendants.
Flurry might be a possible option, because she was never developed as a character in the series, so there is nothing to contradict.

One can only hope for braveness. Either way I don’t care if it is or isn’t, I just hope they don’t portray it in a shit way.

Oh yes they would. Why wouldn’t they? They could do it to literally any character. But in all honesty, if it actually is Twilight I hope to see it be the biggest mindfuck of all
Because Twilight is a loveable character from the My Litte Pony: Friendship is Magic franchise and Sunny’s hero. It would break Sunny’s heart and destroy Twilight’s image. This isn’t Star Wars. They aren’t brave enough to do it.
