it’s likely the game and tell your tale are different continuations of the movie. probally one of them aren’t canon or perhaps both are not.

There’s a reason why the achievement was called “Friendship is still magic.” Sprout explains why he acted the way he did. Can’t blame him. Its a lot harder to “be brave” when you’re alone.

On that we agree. The game felt like a perfect continuation of the movie, which makes the lack of Sprout in TYT and MYM even more jarring.

Its a game with a rather large IP on it. I’m surprised it was not 60$. What I’m a little annoyed about is that this game had a batter story than the special. It feels like a natural continuation of the movie for a first episode of the series. It was coherent and even had character development and resolution and the end. They should have used its story as the first episode of the series.

Meanwhile, MyM had a set up where Pipp was supposed to sing a song and… it just ends. We didn’t get to hear it at all. That defined the tone and pace of the whole special for all the characters stories. Set ups that neither connected nor went anywhere and then just ended.

Again, I’m not mad that the game was this short. I’m mad that they had the gall to ask 40 bucks for a game this short.

And you know what’s funny? The standard edition of Them’s Fightin Herds will be 20 bucks when it comes out this fall. Half the price of this one, yet it has more content and challenge.

Same here.
I got 100% just before the two hour marker. 119 minutes it took me to get everything.

This game is shorter than Pipp.

The reason I bought this is because I want to play as a quadruped animal more often, experience their abilities, and wear cool armour while doing it.
You don’t even get a challenge. I beat these minigames too easily.
Sometimes the game does the platforming for you, and leaves invisible walls making nothing interesting for out of bounds.
Right off the bat I had to turn the menu voice off.
When you can change accessories, you don’t get to take advantage of this perfectly available alternate menu button and instead have to use the mirrors? That is is a buzzkill.
And that large bunny. Why couldn’t we just arrest him? He was basically mugging you for a number of things and this cop right next to you just gives in? What?

I payed forty-five dollars and the only thing of any substance is the customization and the minigames (though not by much unless you have a friend to challenge you on these minigames). I wanted to give this a ten for even existing, but the choices were so Hasbro.
I liked the merit, but sadly I’d give it a 3/10. I know this series was intended for kids, but the adults need to be considered too and even kids are better players these days and deserve better stories. Maybe difficulty settings, create your own pony, no fixed cameras, open world, swimming, no boundaries, longer more engaging story, and use of the other buttons for more magic, possible game overs. There’s just so much to be desired.

To whoever makes the next game, if you implement all this for that one, I will buy more than one copy.
