…I still can’t decide which culture equivalent I like most for griffons. Nordic is fun to imagine with the mountain towns high up in the clouds and such.

And one of my funder headcanons is the idea Gilda is actually the daughter of one of the griffon noble houses. And causes no end of headaches for her parents / single mom / single dad / eccentric aunt.

Griffin culture is isolationist, semi-feudal, and stylized after Edo era Japan.

Gilda is actually of an influential samurai-like lineage, and so had the privilege to travel and study abroad.

This is my new headcanon.
