If I resized the canvas as the size of the character, the image would display on the side of your screen instead on the middle.

Actually its transparent, and theres a lot of “space” because I wanted to display her properly both on DA and Tumblr by placing her in the center of the image.  
I could resize the whole canvas so it would be as big as the character, but it would be the same as someone showing you a spoon 3cm away from your eyes.  
I figured that giving more space for the characters in the blank backgrounds gives them the affect of an easier view.
