You’re forgetting Shao Khan also takes souls as well. Tirek fits as Khan because they’re both powerhouses. Sombra is more of the sorcerer type like Shang Tsung, add that his smoke form and that he turned that smoke into black crystals fits in more with Shang Tsung’s shape-shifting ability.

I’m wondering if we ever get an episode where Celly and/or Luna really and genuinely WILL stop and fuck up a villain? If not by magic, the by simply physically beating them.

I’m hoping that the finale has a beat-down scene like A Canterlot Wedding.
 
That battle was my favorite scene in MLP:FiM to date
