Basically it’s my attempt to take all of the Doctor’s various companions over the course of the show and find analagous characters from FiM to act in their stead as companions of Doctor Whooves. And it’s not just random ponies thrown out there either; Every one of them has something in common or some kind of comparison with their DW companion counterpart, either in appearance, personality, circumstance or story. For instance, all of the non-human companions are represented by non-pony characters. And to answer your first question, I left Susan alone because I’m already playing pretty fast and loose with the canon of two different franchises and I’m not about to start drawing imaginary family bonds between pre-existing characters.
And to answer your second question: Yes, I did just turn the Wonderbolts into UNIT. What are you going to do about it?
So yeah. A whole lot of thought poured into something I’m probably never even going to use. Feel free to cop any of these ideas if you think you can do something cool with it.

Pipsqueak as Steven Taylor. Fitting. Both are big sweeties. Steven was willing to risk life and limb for the First Doctor from the Supreme Dalek’s Time Destrctor on Kembel, even though he was zero human. He even save a Dalek. His motive for leaving the Doctor ws to look after some primitives, a big act of altruism. Pipsqueak fits.
Luna as Victoria. Fitting. Sassy but sweet.
Cadance as Vicki. Fitting. Sassy but sweet as well.
Spitfire as the Brig. Fitting.
Soaring as Benton. Fitting for both be virtuous.
Sarah J as Mayor Mare. Grand. A big way to show feminism by showing a lady in charge.
Zecora as Leela. Fits the wildness.
Minuette fits Romana 2. So eccentric and sweet.
Octavia as Tegan. Fitting for the sass.
Bon-Bon fits Peri’s sweetness and courage.
Pinkie as Mel. Fits how sassy but sweet. And more intelligent.
Babs fits Ace; so feisty but gentle and jolly.
Charley Pollard as Daring Do> Fitting for the adventurerous. And fitting also coz pith helmets were worn in the early 20th century.
Applejack as Molly. Fitting how virtuous.
Derp fits as Rose; such virtuous personality. So brave, gentle, funny, and clever.
Lyra fits Martha’s feisty, altruistic, intelligent persona.
Twqylight as Donna? Priceless. So ballsy, clever, gentle, and funny.
Susnet as Clara. Fitting.
It rock if Rainbow was Yasmin Khan.
Not everyone loves Doctor Who, hun.
Yeah… Because Gunter’s really one of many mutated penguin siblings with variations of “Gunter” as their names.
Frobisher is’nt a penguin… He’s an alien who shapeshifts…
Though honestly a reformed changeling probably would fit Frobisher better, but I don’t think any of those actually exist in canon, so the uploader went with the next closest character they could think of.
Neither is K-9. I think the point was that Gunter is an animal character that would fit properly in the world of MLPFiM.
and you’d think Lyra and Bon Bon would be companions at the same time while we don’t know if Martha actually met Peri.
I know why Sara Kingdom was associated with Flash Sentry…
I’m good with it :)
That bratty kid would make for a good DT(though she gets significantly less laser-guided karmic justice…), but what about the teacher who looks like 11th doctor?
And then that leaves the question of who would be Sarah Kingdom then…
They’re specifically called Penguins, at least the king was in the episode summary…
Yep that’s the Diamond Dogs all right. Especially with that recent comic.
Oh, and; “Prepare to die in agony, pony scum, for the glory of the Diamond Dog Empire. May I take your coat?”
That’s why we have to remember, Spike. We have to remember for her. All those ponies and all those planets… she saved them. For one gleaming moment, she was the most important mare in the entire universe.
And we’ll never forget that.
And shouldn’t Frobisher be represented by that sphenisciform prince from G1?
Orange hair is redhead…also Amy’s hair is orange, even though the Doctor pointed out a few times that she was ginger even to the point where he says that if she had a child with van Gogh, it’d be the ultimate ginger.
Carrot Top is a name that implies much gingerness. Even if that’s not her canon name(or is it? Honestly it’s sometimes really hard to tell with all the officially licensed stuff involving background ponies).
Orange… is more ginger than red hair?
How? Gingers are also called redheads.
