Soo… do alicorns just have a supernatural reincarnated soul detector or something? Is it like the werewolves in Twilight (book, not pony)? Was he born again and she was like “Oh hey, this foal is going to grow up to bang me! I know because reasons.”?

It would be a heck of a lot more meaningful if neither of them knew he was a reincarnation and they fell in love again anyway, only to discover that fact at some later point.

Meh… no accounting for taste I guess.
