Yes he can. He transforms into a Walther P38 in the first two seasons plus the beginning of the movie. And when he was upgraded into Galvatron, he transforms into a Cybertronian laser cannon or laser tank in the rest of the movie and the final two season of the show.
I know about the multiverse thing. Generally speaking it’s an effective way to explain how all things in a given verse happened simultaneously without logical paradoxes, but that wasn’t my original point and we’re derailing the thread before long if we keep talking about Gen continuity.

its about the the reasons they complained about it like Bay ruined my childhood as a MILD example.

In no instance is people not liking a movie grounds for wishing for death.

Technically all of TF is in canon with each other, it added in it’s multiverse long about, it’s why some can be confusing, but Best Wars in the canon future of G1 just never set how far it is, only that it was long after the war going on in G1 ends
Some of the recent IDW ones do, yes. I’m perfectly aware of that. Some comics also got me more confused than anything back in the day.

I know it was poorly chosen for a G1 comparison - I could have mentioned Unicron Trilogy or Aligned Universe in it’s place.
Oh and the “Beastformers” are in canon with G1, so it’s talked about in it, a “Beastformers” fan would(or at lest should) know about it.

You know a lot of the comics acknowledge stuff form G1, right?
G1 isn’t something everyone knows about or wants to acknowledge in relation to their Bayformers, Beastformers, or Comicformers headcanons. Wait, that sounds familiar.
You can’t be assured to find old gen fans on sites where TF isn’t the main topic of discussion, much less here where G1 fans of your own show don’t form a majority and hate threads on TF pics aren’t unusual.
