But in fairness - Twilight would want a private gathering with her closest friends, nothing too much. Rainbow Dash, because it’s all about her, would want the entire town involved, if not all of Equestria, for her celebration…
Now, that just isn’t a fair comparison, at all.
That was a very short lived birthday party, from what I can remember. Now if we were talking about Rainbow Dash’s birthday, now THAT was a PAAARTEH!

The Mane Six dancing and playing games? They have a cake fight? The first appearance of the Party Cannon? Twilight Sparkle dancing like a spaz? Small town ponies rustling the collectie jimmies of Canterlot high society?

when did Twilight have a birthday party? that never happened in the show :/
Actually, I consider it even sillier to complain about either of those incidents than it is to complain about Spike’s treatment.

Nice job ignoring every instance of Spike being left out or dumped on in the first two seasons. Such as being left behind when the Mane 6 set off to talk to a dragon, or missing out on Twilight’s birthday party.

Even though I agree with the sentiment, that’s probably the most cringeworthy example in the world. :)

lets not forget that he has been getting more love as of late, episodes like “Inspiration Manifestation” and “Equestrian Games” put him front and center with saving the day, plus he even gets his own chair on the council of friendship.

Yeah, really. They call Spike’s fans assholes for being so overly protective of him as to accuse the writers of hating him, and what do they do? Act like overly judgemental assholes themselves to Pinkie over something that was COMPLETELY unintentional.
