I believe the nose is pointed downwards, the A-10 is probably flying in low and unloading right on top of the enemy positions, it just simply looks like its pointing up because of the perspective.

Why it’s firing with the nose pointing upwards I don’t understand though. A-10 is explicitly a ground attack craft, it doesn’t do dogfights and if it needs to engage enemy aircraft it would rather do it with AA missiles. Or try and simply absorb the damage.
