The thing is gender is not an issue. In Starlight’s song she says they don’t differentiate by anything more than name. This is clearly referring to status. If boys get the exact same treatment as girls do than it doesn’t matter if they have or lack a certain reproductive organ.
If you consider, Sugar Belle had a bakery. She couldn’t be any good at it because of the equal sign draining her talent, but having something someone else does not it clearly fine.
