okay, thanks for the information, I thought that ponies can blend colours. In this guide there was written that an orange and purple pony can’t produce an orange pony with purple wings/spots, but they can produce a pink pony when their colours mix.

No, they don’t. Guides like that usually tell you to NOT mix parents colors, e.i. an orange pegasus with purple wings. Or a white pony with pink spots, etc. That’s extremely lazy and a way to make the kid look like the parents were merged together.

Ponies inherit their colors like humans do. If a what pony and a black pony mate, they could have a white foal, or even a purple one depending on their grandparents and other ancestors.

I could tell. But the colors look almost exactly like Moondancers, as I’ve stated before.

Also, ponies don’t mix colors when they have kids. You don’t have a red and yellow pony make an orange one.

I used the curve tool.
And these are the colours I used:
Coat - blend of Twi’s and Moondancer’s colours
Eyes - Shining Armor’s
Hair - the pink comes from Twi, the light-purple from Moondancer, the red from Moondancer’s sister

Yeesh, this is pretty bad. Mostly because it looks like the artist didn’t try. At least, in the linework.

Hairstyle isn’t hereditary. She would probably have a similar way how her hair lays, so straight and long or medium cut, maybe shaggy if she shares anything with her uncle. However, she could have a curl, as Moondancer in the comics has a similar hairtstyle to Fluttershy.

God, the colors are bad. Not entirely bad, but bad. One stripe looks like the color was mixed. Apart from that and the blue eyes, it’s almost an exact color copy of Moondancer.

Constructive criticism:

New hairstyle. Draw it out first with the pencil, use red or blue. Go over it with the curve tool. You can erase the sketch by doing what this says. (Go to chapter four Color Replacement) This way you can easily erase the color you used for the sketch.

Use a different, original color palette. Experiment until it looks good.

If they both have the same hair styles, then why doesn’t the foal?
Honestly, that’s fairly clever. Not a huge fan of MLS in general, but I have a soft spot for if it just says fuk it and veers off in random directions, like the spawn being a colt, or an entirely different pony race, or whatever else that makes them less like a carbon copy of the parents.
just makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, idk why.
