Additionally, I have a few tricks to keep the resource usage relatively low. For example, while working on assembling the group, I create multiple PSDs that contain only 3-4 rows each, starting in the front than working my way back:
Then once I finish a group of rows, I export that as a PNG, and then just load that into the next group PSD to use as a guide for the next few rows. So that way Photoshop is only loading a single PNG in one layer instead of roughly 120 - 150 layers of the first four rows:
It’s only at the very end when I merge the PSDs back together (so that I can move a few characters around between groups). That part takes a ton of RAM, but since the collab is about 95% done at that point, I’m able to get by.
