Don’t worry, I save every 10-15 characters. Then on top of that, my working directory is inside a Dropbox folder, so the file is synchronized almost instantly (with version control). Plus I have Backblaze running too, so the files are backed up to a second location regularly as well.

It’s actually an HP Workstation meant to do 8-16gb, bought it ‘broken’ fpr 30$, it had incompatible RAM in it, and I got two 1gb sticks for 5$

I have very little trust for data storage. Basically everything I have is backed up, often to two separate locations.

32GB isn’t that uncommon these days. I also have a server in my storage locker that has 96GB RAM (and four physicial CPUs) in it.
 
Plus at my job, I manage a few servers that have 256GB RAM in them.

I think I now understand what Moses felt standing before the burning bush. Awe. Confusion. Perhaps just a touch of arousal.

I remember when I was going to make a game on an older version of Gamemaker (I think 5.1), so it would fit on a floppy with a smaller base file.
 
Floppies often lasted less than 20 writes for me, and I often stole them from others when I was too young to afford my own.

You can also get a 256gb micro SD for like 60 bucks  
And I’m not talking about the cheap kind
